BASIC NEEDS MAP:
A comprehensive listing of basic needs resources such as showers, hand-washing stations, restrooms, food, charging stations, and other basic needs can be found on this map and is also listed here.
HEALTHCARE:
Medical Access Program (MAP): A health coverage program for uninsured Travis County low-income residents. All residents of the Esperanza community are eligible for MAP; MAP is not required to be a patient at C.D. Doyle. Registration can be done online, over video chat, or in-person. Uninsured Travis County residents with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for MAP.
CommUnity Care: A community health center serving uninsured or underinsured Austin residents. There are 28 locations in Travis County and include specialty, primary, and women’s care. CommUnity Care comes to the Esperanza Community biweekly on Mondays.
Integral Care: A comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder service provider. Services cover mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention. Accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. 7 clinics around Austin open weekdays 8-5pm.
Vivent Health: A low-cost sexual wellness clinic focuses on providing comprehensive healthcare services, including HIV prevention, testing, and treatment on weekdays from 8-5 pm. Located at 104 E Highland Mall Blvd.
ASHwell Clinic: This organization helps residents of Central Texas with their sexual health and wellness services. Among their programs, they provide medical services that can help with PrEP, PEP, HIV, STIs, Gender Affirming Care, as well as Vaccinations. Most medications for patients are of no cost, regardless of insurance status.
Zamora Medical Center: Run by Dr. Gaudalupe Zamora, this clinic offers comprehensive healthcare and provides Physicals, Chronic and Acute Care, Vaccinations, Outpatient Procedures, and Laboratory Work. The clinic’s team is bilingual in English and Spanish, and accepts most insurances, as well as non- or under-insured patients.

Free mammograms, cervical screening, pregnancy testing and other medical services are offered, including to immigrants and women who have no insurance.

Doctors, nurses, and other professionals may all volunteer their time to offer free or low-cost health and medical care from this community clinic. The uninsured and low-income patients from Travis County, Texas, may receive medical care at no cost. Some programs may include on-site pharmacy, some physical therapy, and referrals.
Jane’s Due Process: Jane’s Due Process helps young people in Texas navigate parental consent laws and abortion bans to confidentially access abortion and birth control.
FOOD:
Micah 6 Food Pantry: Micah 6 at University Presbyterian Church helps food-insecure individuals meet their basic needs for food and sustenance. Individuals can ‘shop’ on Thursday from 5:30-7pm and Saturday from 9:30-11am. Located at 2203 San Antonio Street.
El Buen Samaritano food pantry will be OPEN Tuesdays-Thursdays from 9-11AM. Food will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Trinity Center provides folks takeaway breakfast service Monday-Friday at 9/9:30AM until all meals (80-100) are served. They are also open for individuals checking their mail between 11 AM - 2 PM Monday-Friday.
Sunrise Community Church Homeless Navigation Center will remain OPEN (weekdays 9-1) but serving outside at a 6-foot distance. Food, coffee, mail. Shower access is CLOSED, but The Other Ones Foundation comes once a week and the City has provided bathrooms and hand-washing stations.
Angel House / Austin Baptist Chapel is providing sack breakfast from 9:30-10 AM and sack lunches 11 AM-12:30 PM. No inside dining room, no restroom, no shower, and no clothing ministry access (except on an extremely limited basis) at this time.
CLOTHING:
UUMC Open Door: UUMC provides food and clothing for individuals experiencing homelessness on Saturday from 8-9:30am. Located at 2409 Guadalupe Street.
TRANSPORTATION:
CAP Metro: A transportation service serving Travis County.
SUPPORT GROUPS:
Micah 6 Drop-in Center: The Micah 6 Street Youth program is for adults aged 30 and younger experiencing homelessness. Drop-in hours are Saturday 1-4pm at 2107 San Antonio Street. Individuals can access computer labs, a hot meal, snacks, clothing, TV, and laundry facilities.
Veterans Guide: The Veterans Guide assists veterans with issues including proper disability compensation, financial assistance, and information on the GI bill.
