Daniel Callahan Education and Research Chair (MS1)
Daniel (Danny) is an MS1 hailing from Glenwood, Maryland. He attended Northwestern University and graduated in 2020 with a double major in Neuroscience and Global Health Studies. During his gap years, Danny worked in food security with the Capital Area Food Bank, in international humanitarian aid with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and obtained a Master's Degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. At and outside Dell Medical School, Danny serves as an MS1 Class Senator and is an avid reader, runner, and crossword puzzler. While working with C.D. Doyle, he is passionate about supporting research directed at improving the patient experience and health equity in Austin. Service has been a consistent driving force behind his desire to be a physician, along with interests in health education innovation and longitudinal patient care.
