Saniya is currently an a first-year medical student at Dell Med. She graduated from Rice University in 2021 with a B.A. in Anthropology and minor in Biochemistry. Saniya has experience working with diverse people in community health settings, through community service and international fellowships. Her favorite experiences have been interning at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston and conducting ethnographic research with Community Health Workers in Nepal. She is particularly passionate about advancing reproductive justice through intersectional, multidisciplinary, community-centered ways. In her free time, Saniya likes to read, thrift, and spend time outdoors!
