Alex Carruth is a third-year medical student at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, concurrently pursuing a Master of Public Health at UTHealth Houston. Originally from Texas, Alex is passionate about the intersection of medicine, public health, and data-driven policy. He currently serves on the leadership team for the C.D. Doyle Clinic, where he helps coordinate care for Austin’s underserved populations. His research spans health policy, radiology, and population health, including projects on hospital price transparency and imaging biomarkers in diabetes. Beyond academics, Alex is dedicated to fostering student wellness and community engagement through initiatives that promote equity and access in healthcare.
