Kimia Pourebrahim Undergraduate Research & Education Coordinator
Kimia Pourebrahim is a third-year at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in biology and studying immigration as a social determinant of health through the Humanities Honors program. As C.D. Doyle Clinic's Outreach Coordinator, her objective is to lead initiatives that promote the wellbeing of our patients outside of the clinic and expand CD Doyle's services to Austin's broader homeless community. From distributing hygiene and wound care kits to arranging opportunities for health education, she organizes initiatives surrounding the specific needs of our patient population. When she is not volunteering at the clinic, Kimia can be found pedaling Austin's hills and recently completed a 4,000 mile charity bike ride from Austin, TX, to Anchorage, AK, with Texas 4000 for Cancer. She aspires to use her life experiences and volunteer work to prepare for a future as a physician and advocate for immigrants in medicine.
