Rachel is a medical student in the inaugural class at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. She was born and raised in Austin, TX and received a B.A. in Psychology and English Literature from Swarthmore College in 2014. After graduating, Rachel worked on research surrounding traumatic stress in patients and families as a result of hospital stays. She has a continued passion for behavioral health and prevention and how it can be intertwined in our larger healthcare systems.
In her role as Chief Clinic Officer for the CD Doyle student-run clinic, Rachel is excited work with a truly inspiring group of students, physicians, community members and other professionals to serve some of Austin's most vulnerable by providing accessible, non-judgmental healthcare to anyone and everyone.
Apart from school and studies, Rachel enjoys dancing, cooking, home improvement projects, sunny days and reading as many novels and short stories as she can get her hands on.
