Haniyah Burney Vice Chief Education and Research Officer
Haniyah Burney is a second-year medical student at Dell Medical School in Austin. Prior to medical school, she studied community health and Asian American studies at Stanford University. She is interested in health justice, academic medicine, and palliative care. As Vice Chief of Education and Research, she hopes to facilitate health equity education and support reciprocal, ethical research that gives back to the Esperanza community. Outside of C.D. Doyle Clinic, she is involved Dell Medical School's Undergraduate Medical Education Committee, Dell Med Prosody, a student-run literary and arts magazine, and Health Equity and Advocacy League.
