Dr. Tony Trinh, MD, MPH, AAHIVE Volunteer Physician
Dr. Tony Trinh is ABIM board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is a certified HIV Expert (AAHIVE) through the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). As Senior Director and HIV Regional Medical Expert with Gilead Sciences Inc US Medical affairs, Dr. Trinh leads medical education initiatives and research opportunities to drive impact and improve health outcomes in people with HIV and people benefiting from HIV prevention.
He received his Medical Degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, trained in General Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University, and completed his Infectious Disease Fellowship from the University of Washington where he also earned an MPH in epidemiology. Before joining Gilead, he was the Chief of Infectious Diseases at The Polyclinic in Seattle, WA where he had a robust practice specializing in HIV treatment and prevention.
Dr. Trinh has a passion for clinical education and proudly jumped at the opportunity to volunteer with CD Doyle when he first moved to Texas in 2022.
He is also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and live music lover. He recently picked up Pickleball at his local YMCA where he enjoys getting humbled by local seniors. He lives on a former garlic-farm in Austin, TX with his wife Ellie and his pit-bull Dottie.
